Bone Density Screening ($40)
A bone density test is the best way to find out how strong or weak your bones are. The GE Achilles Express measures sound waves as they pass through the heel. This test takes about 1 minute and results are immediate. This device is 98% accurate, approved by the FDA, and commonly used by physicians.
Full Cholesterol Panel ($40)
An 8-hour fast is preferred. Black coffee, tea, and water are fine to drink. A full cholesterol panel consists of: Total Cholesterol, HDL (good) cholesterol, LDL (bad) cholesterol, Triglycerides, TC/HDL Ratio and Glucose. The test consists of a simple fingerstick and results are available in 5-minutes.
Liver Function ($25)
A liver function test checks for liver damage caused by certain medications or infections by measuring ALT & AST, two of your liver enzymes. The test consists of a simple fingerstick and results are available in 5-minutes. No fasting necessary.
Thyroid Screening ($45)
A thyroid screening tests for hypothyroidism or underactive thyroid by measuring the amount of thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH). The test consists of a fingerstick and results are available in 10-minutes. Common symptoms of underactive thyroid are: weight gain, difficulty losing weight, feeling cold, constipation or hair loss.
Prostate Screening ($63)
The Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) test is one of the best screening tests for the early detection of prostate cancer and other prostate problems. The test consists of a fingerstick where blood is spotted on a card made of special paper. Results are sent to a certified laboratory for analysis and are mailed directly to you within 2 weeks.
Hemoglobin A1c ($45)
The A1c test calculates your average blood sugar for the past 2 to 3 months. It allows you to see if you are controlling your blood sugar levels. This is possible because sugar attaches to the hemoglobin in your blood, where it is stuck there for the life of the red blood cell - about 3 or 4 months. The test consists of a fingerstick and results are available in 5-minutes
Blood Glucose ($10)
The Blood Glucose tests measures your blood sugar level. It is an 8-second test that screens for diabetes.
Body Composition (free)
The percentage of fat in our bodies is measured by Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA). BIA measures the resistance of body tissues to the flow of a small, harmless low-level current. Height, weight and gender are used to calculate the percentage of fat tissues out of the whole body mass.
